This is a replica of a prehistoric pottery type called “Gila Polychrome”. 6″ x 6″ It was made using hand collected clays and organic paint from Arizona, formed using the traditional coil and scrape method and was fired outside in a open, surface fire.
Cliff Polychrome is a type of “Salado Polychrome” that was made in central and southeast Arizona and southwest New Mexico between 1300 and 1450 AD.
