This is a replica of an ancient Pinedale Black on White canteen that is in the collection of the Besh Ba Gowah Museum in Globe, Arizona. There is a tube running through the top that allows a length of cord to suspend the canteen without any water leaking out. The size of the canteen is 6 1/4″ x 6″. This pot was made authentically using native Arizona clays, hand coiled, decorated with mineral paint and fired in a trench kiln at the Southwest Kiln Conference.
